Andrea Altobrando, born in Monza, is currently an Associate Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Padua. He studied at the University of Milan (“Statale”), the University of Turin, the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, and the University of Padua. Altobrando conducted research at the Husserl Archive in Cologne and at Hokkaido University, where he also worked as a Special Appointed Lecturer. Before joining Padua, he was a Special Appointed Professor at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, where he continues as a Visiting Professor. He is executive editor of Metodo. International Studies in Phenomenology and Philosophy. His research primarily focuses on epistemology and metaphysics from a phenomenological perspective, with particular emphasis on individuality, self, self-consciousness, and the relationship between judgment, perception, and reality.
